See Paris' iconic sights, stunning Starbucks stores in 12,000-step walking tour

Visiting Paris this summer? We’ll take you on a walking tour to see some of the city’s most iconic sights and visit some of its most beautiful stores along the way in about 12,000 steps.

Starbucks has been a part of the Parisian coffee scene for 20 years, with welcoming stores dotted all around the city – like under the Louvre Pyramid, tucked away on a quiet little side street in Montmartre or along the bustling Champs-Elysées. We’ll take you on a walking tour to see some of the city’s most iconic sights and visit some of its most beautiful stores along the way in about 12,000 steps.

Forum des Halles

We begin our tour at the stunning new store under the undulating glass and steel canopy of the Westfield Forum des Halles, easily accessible by both RER commuter train and Metro thanks to the Châtelet–Les Halles transit hub. The Paris CC Forum des Halles store is the largest in France, with a dedicated area for mobile orders, comfortable indoor and outdoor seating spaces to fuel up for your day and convenient electrical outlets for you to (literally) charge your batteries.

Échelle

It’s a short 15-minute walk (1,365 steps) from Les Halles to the Échelle Starbucks near the Carrousel entrance of the Louvre Museum, one of the largest and most popular museums in the world. The location features Starbucks Reserve™ coffee and an expansive second-floor seating area with windows overlooking the quaint Rue de l’Échelle, a perfect place to fuel up with a Dragon Mango Refresha (a favorite in France!) before enjoying room after room of priceless treasures.

Arcades Champs Élysées

After the Louvre, enjoy a 35-minute amble (3,685 steps) to our next destination through the Tuileries Garden or a stroll along the Seine toward the obelisk standing at the Place de la Concorde. From there, walk along the glamorous Champs-Élysées to the newly renovated Arcades Champs Élysées sparkling under the soaring ceiling of glass and wrought iron. After snapping a picture of the Arc de Triomphe, step inside for a beverage and a comfortable banquette to savor the elegant style of 19^th century Paris.

Place du Tertre, Montmartre

Another 35-minute walk (3,680 steps) brings us to the charming neighborhood of Montmartre. (On the way, swing by the Place Blanche store for a selfie across from the red windmill Moulin Rouge.) The cozy Place du Tertre store is situated just off of the main square in an 18^th– century building on the cobblestone Rue de Norvins. Take your beverage to go and walk a few blocks to the steps of the white travertine Basilica Sacré-Cœur and reward yourself with one of the most spectacular views of the city.

Capucines

An easy 30-minute walk (2,730 steps) downhill brings us to what’s lovingly known on social media as the “World’s Fanciest Starbucks.” The Capucines store, just a few blocks from Starbucks first store in France at 26 Avenue de l’Opéra features ornate 19^th-century ceiling murals and motifs which have been fully restored to their original state and now reveal their true colors and historical elegance. It’s the perfect place to raise glass (or mug!) in celebration of Paris.

Fun fact: Both the capucine flower (known as nasturtium in English) and the cappuccino beverage take their names from the garb worn by Italy’s Capuchin friars. The flower resembles the shape of their hooded robes, while the beverage’s milky brown color echoes the fabric. Now you can doubly enjoy a cappuccino at Capucines!
